WA - KARIJINI (WEANO)
June

to 15 June

WA - KARIJINI (WEANO)

WEANO GORGE

Spend the day with us exploring Weano and campout at Karijini Eco Resort.

What to expect

Leaving Paraburdoo with Sam, we will head to Tom Price where we will stop for a cheeky brunch and any last minute pick ups before headed to Weano. All skill and experience levels are encouraged to join! We will set up a base and see if we can't hit some of the surrounding tracks. It is sure to be an awesome day out and optional overnight stay.

Weano is a 2 hour drive from Paraburdoo and 1hr from Tom Price.

THE GORGE
Weano Gorge is a stunning hike that leads to Handrail Pool. We recommend bringing good shoes, swimmers, a towel and a dry bag if you have it.

CAMPING
There are camping fees for camping at the Karijini Eco Resort. You will need to book a campsite via the website https://www.karijiniecoretreat.com.au/
Please make sure to bring rubbish bags so we can leave our site clean & tidy.

DOGS
Dogs are not allowed as Karijini is a National Park.

ALCOHOL
During our weekend there will be times we are hanging out at our base and having fun. We all like to enjoy some beers or other alcoholic bevys while in holiday mode. While we have no issue with this we do expect all members to manage their consumption and behaviour and under no circumstances is there to be any drink driving. We take everyone’s safety very seriously and will ensure everyone has a good time and gets home.

Rig requirements

You will not necessarily need a 4wd for the camping however we may go exploring. For 4wding we recommend the minimum safety of rated recovery point. A UHF or hand-held is highly recommended (if you don’t have either there may be some spare hand-helds available for use x)
If you don't have a suitable rig feel free to message the group chat or our admins, when we head out to the tracks you may leave your vehicle at our camp as I'm sure someone will have a spare seat.

terrain type
The area is a mix of sand, rocks and scrubby bush.
